It’s been a while since we’ve crossed a border where there is no need for a visa, it should have been a breeze had there not been a power cut the second we handed over our passports.
There was something about Kyrgyzstan that was instantly different, more colourful, the Lada’s here weren’t cream they were blue and red, the streets were lined with trees and the mountains were a healthy green not dry and yellow. We liked Kyrgyzstan instantly and within minutes we were about to experience our very first Yurt stay for the night, but only because the receptionist had mixed up our booking, all rooms are now full, so off to the garden to sleep in a tent, sorry Yurt.
